I was inspired to quill butterflies after planting a butterfly bush and sitting back and watching these magnificent insects flutter about from flower to flower.
The orange and blue sections are achieved by the quilling technique called off center scrolls. The black and white sections are tight rolls. Summer memories of the butterflies fluttering about me while I "dead head" the old blossoms from the bush...live on forever in this quilled piece.
